Use  wire to create your own eye pins and links for heavy beads and pendants.   The wire is annealed (soft) so it will need to be work hardened (to be made firm) - to do this simply run nylon jaw pliers firmly along the wire several times. The wire will straighten and harden.  Using wire allows you to create strong connections to the size that you need.   Ideal for chunky beads!

Note  if you are making links for beads - do not pre-cut your wire.  Harden approximately 6-8cm (depending on the size of your bead).

Place the bead on the wire and form a loop.  Now you should cut the wire and form the second loop. 

You will waste very little wire by doing this.
